International Men’s Day is about Mental Health? Somewhat surprising, since women can suffer from mental illness, too. There’s an International Women’s Day in March, but it’s not about mental health. The only time I’ve ever heard of International Men’s Day is every year on International Women’s Day when all the misogynistic men complain “Why isn’t there an International Men’s Day, too? only to be shut down by those who inform them that International Men’s Day is on November 19th.

Well when I was a kid people told me I was “cute”. When I was a senior in high school I was awarded the great honor of being named by the school newspaper as the “cutest boy” in the senior class. Not the best looking boy but the “cutest”. I wasn’t bothered by it since winning such a honor helped my social life since I was also named “shyest boy” in the senior class. Now were my parents disturbed by me always being called cute beginning in the first grade? No they weren’t. They were more disturbed if I brought home a C on my report card or if I got into trouble for chewing gum in class which btw if you were caught doing that for the third time you were sent home. I’m just trying to say there’s more things in life to worry about.
